Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces

A revitalized the Russian player secured his maiden trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.

The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the US Open.

His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally splitting with former mentor his previous coach.

Presently working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.

It is Medvedev's first title after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface since March of that year.

Victory also signifies the Russian has achieved 21 victories at 21 various events.

"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my children simultaneously, so to secure a title is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."

The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.

Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on court had prompted observers to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.

Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.

The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.

The pair swapped breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour victory, took control to create a third set.

He rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.

Fittingly, he earned victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
